Cares route

This excursion is classified by the National Park of Picos de Europa as a low difficulty hiking route. Actually, starting the route from Poncebos, it only has a climb of just over 2 km and a descent of about 800 meters, the rest of it is flat. Its main difficulty lies in the terrain on which the path is carved, since the Cares Route runs over rocky ground that makes it difficult to walk on it. Please make sure that you have the suitable shoes such as hiking boots or footwear resistant to rocky soil.
