Cares Route and 4×4 Off-Road Tour from Caín to Poncebos

If you want to start walking in the morning in Poncebos, you need to drive your car to the beginning of the route. We recommend arriving around 9:00 am to avoid parking problems. If you arrive later, especially during the summer months, there will likely be more cars and fewer parking spaces.

The walking route from Poncebos to Caín is 12 km long.

To join the 4×4 activity with us, you need to book through our website to guarantee your spots, as they are limited. Pick-up time in Caín is at 14:30 in winter and at 15:00 in summer. The meeting point is the restaurant La Casona de Palmira.

La Casona de Palmira

We recommend making reservations at the restaurant because there are not many places to eat in Caín.

Our 4×4 excursion lasts 4 hours and 15 minutes. We will visit sites of tourist interest in the National Park of Picos de Europa. The 4×4 will be driven by a local guide who knows the area. The guide will make stops and provide a lot of information about the area.

Starting from Poncebos, it only has a climb of just over 2 km and a descent of about 800 meters; the rest is flat. Its main difficulty lies in the rocky terrain. The Cares Route runs over rocky ground, making it challenging to walk on. Please ensure you have suitable footwear such as hiking boots.
